Tech skills training for mature aged workers

Tech skills for mature age workers

Mature age workers have a wealth of experience, knowledge, and skills that are an asset to any workplace. However, they have not grown up with the same technologies as their younger counterparts. As a result of this, many find adopting new technology to be a daunting task, affecting their confidence, productivity, and relationships with colleagues.

Our Youngsters are here to help mature age workers learn the tech skills they need to be work effectively. Whether you need 1:1 sessions for specific employees, or group sessions to train everyone on a new system, we’ve got it covered!

If you have a specific mature age worker who needs training you can request a tailored session for them here, or for multiple workers or group sessions contact us.

Why choose Youngster over traditional training methods?

Personalised: Training is personlised to address the specific skills gaps of the individual worker. Skills learnt are immediately applicable and improve a mature age worker’s productivity on day-to-day tasks.

Practical skills: Sessions occur in the workplace, or at home if the worker works remotely, and focus on pactical tasks they need to complete. Real-world application enhances retention.

Time efficient: This form of training can be integrated into the daily work schedule, and doesn’t require the worker to take time off to attend a formal training course.

Reduced fear of judgement: Mature age workers often feel more comfortable asking questions and discussing their skills gaps with our Youngsters rather than their own younger colleagues or manager.

Improved confidence and engagement: Our Youngsters want to learn life skills, and value the wisdom and experience mature age workers have. It’s a two way learning opportunity where mature age workers feel more valued and engaged.

Contribute to your community: By using Youngster you create jobs for young people in your community, and help them learn life skills.
